The general settings allow you to configure some of the more fundamental properties of how APIIDA API Gateway Manager behaves on a global level.
Setting | Description |
---|---|
Automatic Logout | The number of minutes of inactivity after which the Gateway Manager logs a user out. The user is sent back to the login screen, requiring her to authenticate herself again in order to continue working in the system. Enter a 0 to disable the automatic logout |
Variable file size limit | The maximum size of variable files in byte. During migrations GMU creates files that contain all string variables found in the migration bundle. These can becoma rather large as GMU adds the binary data of server module files for example. In some circumstances (especially if you did not provide much memory to the Gateway Manager) this can crash the system because it runs out of memory. This setting allows you to skip importing those files based on their size. To load all files set this to 0. |
Retention time | APIIDA API Gateway Manager deletes old data regularly. These are metrics gathered from the gateways, alarms their confirmation and past migrations including their backups and logs. This setting allows you to specify the number of days after which that happens. Default is 30 days. |
Time Zone | The Gateway Manager saves all data / time values in UTC. This setting controls which time zone is used for display in the user interface. More elaborate settings concerning date and time (like the display formats) can be found in the configuration file. |
Accessing Log Files
If you don’t have access to Gateway Manager’s persistent volume but need to look at the current log file you can use the button “Download Log” to download a copy of the current day’s log. Our customer support might ask you for this data to analyse an issues you have using the Gateway Manager.
